She tried $4,000 worth of skin care products to fix her eczema… Nothing cleared her skin until she installed this simple fix that took just 10 minutes.
Written by Dr. Tim Holderman

I am about to tick off every single dermatologist and skin care brand in America.
Because what I’m about to share could cost them MILLIONS in lost revenue
But I don’t care anymore.
After watching my patient Tracy say “I CAN’T LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE” in her follow-up survey.
After seeing her describe her daily life as being “trapped in her own body. It feels like it’s burning. I can’t sleep” and even one time “A boy actually said I looked like a burn victim.”
After seeing her try over $4,000 worth of skin care products, antihistamines, and moisturizers. Even being recommended for expensive in-office phototherapy costing up to $10,000 that her insurance wouldn’t cover.
I knew that the system had failed her.
I took it upon myself… I had to help her. So I went out and did the research and discovered something that changed everything.
And if your reading this feeling like a burn victim and unable to go out with friends with the constant fear of how you look…
This could be the most valuable 5 minutes for you and your social life
My name is Dr. Tim Holderman. I’ve been a dermatologist for 15 years believing that I was helping people with their skin issues. Now I am committed to finding solutions that the rest of the industry ignores.
And I’m about to expose the dirty secret that keeps millions of Americans trying skin care products and serums that don’t help their eczema.
But first, let me tell you about the day that changed everything…
The Day Everything Changed

I was in my office late on a Thursday night. Going through the usual patient surveys from the week. Most of them were standard. “The antihistamines seem to help a little bit” and “I have hope with this new product.”
It always went like this. Skin seemed to be improving then out of nowhere it would flare back up. We would always just try a new product and hope it worked.
Then I got to Tracy’s… “I CAN’T LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE.”
Not “worse than normal.” Not “We need to try something different.”
She had gone recluse. She no longer went out in public for fear of embarrassment. Working from home. Hiding all the mirrors in the house. Even pushing off her partner because she didn’t feel like she was pretty enough to be loved.
She described the pain and struggle of sleeping. She would sleep with gloves on to try and stop the scratching. Still she would wake up covered in blood. The same spots would keep itching scratching open old wounds over and over again.
The pain and difficulty sleeping was so severe that she couldn’t imagine going through anymore torture. She felt like her skin and body had failed her.
That hit me harder than anything else in that survey.
Because here’s the thing…
Tracy had done EVERYTHING right. Medications, skin care routines, supplements, diet changes. Everything…
None of it worked…
She had gone through $4,000 worth of trial and error fixes with no long lasting relief.
She started considering other options. $10,000 phototherapy sessions. Even Biological Injections of antibodies costing upwards of $40,000.
At this point she thought she was going to have to accept this was her life. No longer wanting to be social. To be seen by anybody. Seeing herself in the mirror caused so much pain she no longer would look at a mirror in the house.
Spending hours on makeup just for a short trip to the grocery store to get essentials. Because that is all the time she could afford to be seen for.
I sat there and after hearing her testimony something inside me snapped
I wasn’t going to let this keep happening. Not to Tracy or anyone else suffering.
The Discovery that the Industry Doesn't Want You to Know

For the next 3 months I lived like a monk in my office.
I sat in my office rereading every research paper on skin care. Pulling out all of my old college textbooks. Searching for any piece of information that I may have missed.
My medical assistants thought that I was losing my mind, but I didn’t care.
And what I found…made me want to call every patient I had ever prescribed expensive solutions that found no fix.
Here’s what you need to know:
Your skin is not flaring up because its “sensitive”
All this time you're led to believe that your skin is “just sensitive.” That your flare-ups are a genetic problem. That all the stress is making it worse.
But this is not the root cause of the issue… I know. This is not what your dermatologist told you.
They probably say your skin is especially reactive. That some people are, and that you’ll need to manage it. Here’s a cream, here’s a prescription, come back if that doesn’t work.
But answer me this
Why is your face worse than your stomach?
Same body, hormones, blood supply, diet, sleep, stress and genetics all down to the cell.
You probably already have the answer, you’ve heard it before. Oil glands. There's more on your face than anywhere else on your body. I’m not going to argue with that.
Fine.
So answer this second one.
Ever notice that your skin clears up and is noticeably better anytime you travel from home? Not just when you're in a less stressful place. Take for example you travel back to your parents house for a week.
You slept worse. Definitely ate worse. And your mother asked about your entire love life for the entire week. Every single thing the internet tells you causes flare ups.
But somehow your skin got better.
Then you drove home, and inside a week your skin was back to painful flare-ups
Oil glands, hormones, and stress don’t explain that. Something in the building was doing it.
Your skin is exposed to water that NO ONE is mandated to regulate.
Here’s what nobody tells you about the water coming out of your shower
The EPA regulates what’s in your drinking water. Chlorine levels, disinfection byproducts, the whole list. Real limits that are monitored and enforced. They’ve been doing it since 1979.
All of those rules were written for drinking water. Water you swallow
Not one of them was written for water you stand in for ten plus minutes a day with your pores open.
That is not a conspiracy. It’s simpler and honestly worse than a conspiracy. In 1974 the rules got written around drinking water, and in fifty years nobody has gone back and changed the rules for tap water.
There is no federal standard for what touches your skin in the shower. No agency that checks.
Your city is meeting every requirement it has. The requirements are just not enough, there's nothing that YOU can do.
What Chlorine Actually Does To Your Face

Think of your skin barrier like a brick wall.
The bricks are your skin cells. The mortar between them is a thin layer of oils and lipids — the acid mantle. That mortar is what holds water in and keeps everything else out.
It sits at a pH of about 4.7 to 5.5. Slightly acidic. It is supposed to be.
At that pH, the enzymes that rebuild your skin work properly, and the bacteria that cause flare ups stay in check.
Now run hot chlorinated water over it for ten minutes.
Chlorine strips lipids. That's the entire reason it's in the water — it's there to break down organic material, and the oils holding your skin together are organic material. It doesn't know the difference between bacteria in a pipe and the mortar on your face.
The mortar goes first. The pH climbs.
And when skin pH climbs out of that acidic range, three things happen at once:
-The enzymes that rebuild your barrier stop working properly. Your repair system stalls out.
-Water starts leaving your skin faster than it should. That's the tight feeling.
-The bacteria associated with flares get a friendlier place to live. Alkaline skin is better for them than acidic skin.
So you step out with the mortar washed out of the wall, your repair crew disabled, and the pH tilted toward exactly the conditions that make things worse.
In reality your skin barrier is being stripped every single morning… by water that nobody in this country is required to regulate.
And then you put a $70 cream on it.
The Part That Makes It Worse – And You're Doing It On Purpose

I thought it couldn’t get worse. Sitting in the shower with chlorine water stripping your face of the lipids protecting it.
But then I remembered…
You scrub.
You’ve got cleanser in there, a face scrubber, or just going at your face with your hands because it’s been a long day and you think that you’re getting the dirt off.
Here’s what's actually happening.
Hot water swells and softens the outer layer of your skin. That’s just physics. It happens in the first two minutes. Adding friction and grit to softened skin and you mechanically disrupt what’s left of that mortar.
You have now made your face more permeable than it was when you got in
And then you stand there. Even longer
For another six, seven, eight minutes. Rinsing your hair. All with warm chlorinated water running over a barrier you just opened up.
You didn’t wash the day’s dirt off.
You opened the door, and then you left it open, and stood in it.
Everything You've Felt, Explained
Once you see it this way, your skin symptoms stop being random.
That tight, pulling feeling after you step out of the shower? That’s water leaving through a wall with no motor in it. You’re feeling your barrier fail in real time.
Why does your expensive cream work some days and not others? Because it isn’t going on the same skin twice. It’s going onto whatever the shower left behind. That changes with your water temperature, shower length, and how hard you scrubbed that day.
Why is winter so brutal? Some of that is dry air. You knew that. But the part you haven't connected is that you turn the water hotter in the winter. Hotter water strips faster.
Why it always comes back in the same three places? The parts of your face that take the most direct spray, for the longest, at the highest temperature.
And why it never gets better? This is the one that matters.
You are rebuilding that wall every night. Serum, moisturizer, occlusive, the whole routine. And it works… The mortar goes back in.
Then in the morning you wash it out again.
You’re not rebuilding anything. You’re in a cycle, striping out the bricks and laying in new mortar every night. Paying $200 a month for that privilege.
You have never once gotten ahead, because the stripping happens first
Nobody in the Dermatology Office is Asking About Your Water

I want to be careful here, because I'm not going to tell you your dermatologist is corrupt. Mine isn't. Yours probably isn't either.
But look at the structure.
A dermatology appointment runs eleven minutes. The training is in diagnosing and prescribing. There's a code to bill and a drug to write. There is no billing code for "go look at your shower."
And look at what gets prescribed.
The topical steroid works — beautifully — until you stop, and then a large majority of people end up worse than how they started.
The injectable biologic works — at thousands of dollars a year, indefinitely.
Notice what every single one of those has in common.
None of them end.
A patient whose skin is fixed buys nothing. A patient whose skin is managed buys forever.
So you stay on the loop:
Cleanser → serum → prescription → flare → stronger prescription → break → flare → back to the dermatologist
Round and round. For years. While the issue causing it runs for ten minutes every morning at 105 degrees completely unregulated.
Until somebody finally checks the water.
The Miracle Fix Takes Less Than 10 Minutes to Install

Remember Tracy? The woman who wrote "I CAN’T LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE” on the survey?
After this fix she sent me a message that made me cry.
She said she “Finally felt confident in herself again.” She was once again a social butterfly. Going out. Meeting new people. Confident in her looks and in herself.
All of this with no pills, shots, or surgery. All it took was 10 minutes to change the shower head in her bathroom. She didn’t even have to call a plumber!
Truly life-changing moment.
Here is what I found: To stop losing your skin barrier every morning, three things have to happen. And they have to happen in this order.
Step 1) INTERCEPT IT. Before it touches you – not after.
Every single product in your bathroom works after the shower. Cleanser, serum, moisturizer, prescription, all of it. Every one of them is applied to skin that has already been stripped.
A repair crew showing up after the damage.
This is the only step that happens first. Take the chlorine out of the water before it ever reaches your face. Until you do that, nothing else you own is doing what you think it’s doing.
Step 2) DO IT AT 105 DEGREES. Now you're probably thinking, “I need a shower filter” but here's the problem that nobody talks about.
Most shower filters are built on activated carbon. Carbon works by a process called adsorption – chlorine sticks to the surface of the media as it passes through.
Adsorption gets measurably worse as water gets hotter.
Carbon is an excellent cold-water medium. And you do not shower in cold water.
So a filter packed with carbon can test beautifully, print impressive numbers on a box, and then be much worse at its job when it actually matters.
Step 3) STOP PRYING IT BACK OPEN
This one is free.
Stop scrubbing your face in the shower.
Not “be gentler.” Stop. You need to wash your face in cold water, before or after, that way your hands aren’t working against softened skin.
Because you already know what scrubbing in hot water does. Hot water softens the skin, friction opens it up, and then you stand in the water for another six minutes with the door wide open.
You can filter the water perfectly and still undo it with ninety seconds of scrubbing.
Miss even ONE of these steps and you’re wasting your time
Now I want to walk you through everything you’ve tried and why they don’t seem to work.
Why creams and ceramide moisturizers don’t seem to work.
They work – genuinely. They put the mortar back in, but then you wash it all back out. You just missed the first step.
Taking Cold Showers
The chlorine is still in the water. With no filter it barely helps. It is also miserable. I have never met anyone who kept it up for a year. A fix you won’t do isn’t a fix.
The $50 fake filter
Almost all of them are carbon. Which means they work best in the exact conditions you’ll never shower in – and most of them clog and choke your pressure inside a month anyway.
A whole-home water softener
Softeners remove calcium and magnesium. That is hardness. It is not chlorine. If your problem is a stripped skin barrier, you just spent a thousand dollars on the wrong machine.
Prescription retinoids, steroids, and antibiotics
They work after everything we just talked about. They are treating what the shower left behind. Which is why they work while you’re on them and stop when you’re not.
Every one of those is a repair crew. Not one of them turns off the thing doing the damage.
All Three Steps. In That Order
Capture it before contact, in a temperature you actually shower at, and stop prying the barrier open while you’re in there.
Two of these are a filter problem, and one is free. I just gave it to you.
That’s hot-water interception. Everything in your cabinet is for later. This has to be first.
And once it’s set in place, something happens that you’ve never actually experienced: your routine actually starts to work.
The cream you put on tonight is still doing its job tomorrow, because tomorrow morning didn’t erase it. And it builds day after day, week after week.
For the first time, you’re building the wall. And seeing results.
The Turning Point

After Tracy started seeing results, word spread fast.
One of my other patients, Breanna, who had been with me for about a year messaged me one day.
“Whatever helped Tracy. I need that. NOW.”
Breanna was 32. Her situation was different she dealt with eczema on her elbows and knees, but she saw that it worked.
Her eczema responded the same way. Chlorine still had the same harm on her skin as Tracy's. Drying out and causing flare ups.
Years of dealing with skin issues, trying serums and creams, only seeing partial results.
I showed her the exact filter to buy and told her it only takes 10 minutes to install.
Weeks later I never heard anything from her so I asked if she was having any flare ups still.
“The difference is huge. I haven't had one yet. This shower filter works.”
I could feel the relief from the message.
I had patients constantly asking about this filter. Teachers that couldn’t stand in front of their classroom. Retail workers that are tired of trying to hide their face before their shift. Students that are too embarrassed to go to school.
Every. Single. One. Got. Better
Not just “Oh it might be working”
Real results that they have never experienced before
Introducing The Shower Filter That Actually Stops Chlorine: The Aldren Filtered Shower Head

The Aldren Filtered Shower Head. It has a replaceable filter cartridge and it meets all three requirements. It intercepts the chlorine before the water touches you. It holds up at 105 degrees. And step three I already gave you for free.
Our filter has eighteen stages of filtration. All of them there for a purpose. Four of them do the heavy lifting. Here’s how they work.
LAYER ONE: THE TWO THAT WORK HOT
This is the layer nobody explains, and it's the entire reason this works when the $50 one from Amazon didn't.
Remember what I told you about carbon.
Carbon works by adsorption. It's a net. Chlorine sticks to the surface of the media as water passes through, and the net slowly fills up. And the hotter the water gets, the worse the net holds.
You shower at 105 degrees. Carbon is doing its worst work at exactly the moment you need it.
So the backbone of this filter isn't carbon. It's two media that don't use a net at all.
KDF.
A copper-zinc alloy. It doesn't catch chlorine — it changes it. Free chlorine hits the alloy and a redox reaction converts it into chloride. Plain chloride. The same harmless thing that's in table salt. It isn't trapped somewhere waiting to break loose. It's a different molecule when it comes out.
That's a chemical reaction, not a filter catching something. Which is why heat doesn't hurt it the way heat hurts carbon. KDF is used in shower filtration specifically because it holds up at temperature.
It also binds heavy metals — lead, mercury, iron, copper — to the surface of the media on the way through. If you live in an older building with older pipes, that second job matters more than you'd think.
Calcium sulfite.
The second filter. Same outcome.
It catches what the KDF doesn't convert, and it works hot — hot water is where calcium sulfite is actually at its most effective.
Two media. Both convert rather than catch. Both hold at the temperature you actually shower at.
These layers do the work.
The two that clean up behind it
Activated carbon. Two stages of it.
I just spent four paragraphs on the limits of carbon, so let me be fair to it.
Carbon is excellent at the things KDF doesn't touch — organic compounds, and the smell. That faint chemical note in the steam you've stopped consciously noticing? That's carbon's job, and it does it well.
It loses efficiency as water heats up. That's real and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. It's also exactly why it isn't carrying this filter by itself — which is what it's doing in most of the cheap ones.
Zeolite.
A mineral with a crystalline structure full of pores, all roughly the same size. Water runs through and things that fit in those pores stay behind. Heavy metals. Ammonia.
Think of it as a sponge where the holes are a specific size on purpose
TIER TWO: THE PROTECTIVE MEDIA
Five stages. These keep the first four alive.
Stainless steel mesh at the inlet. PP cotton. Quartz. A final cotton layer. Stainless mesh on the way out.
Sediment stages. Rust, grit, pipe scale, sand out of a municipal line that's been in the ground since the sixties.
Nothing glamorous here. No story to tell.
But the reason that $50 Amazon filter clogged and choked your water pressure inside three weeks is that it didn't have enough of this. Grit reaches the media that does the real work, packs it solid, and the whole thing chokes.
Five stages of unglamorous mechanical filtration is what keeps Tier One working for three months instead of three weeks.
TIER THREE: THE STRUCTURAL MEDIA
The last stages here are just as important as the rest.
Germanium balls. Tourmaline. Ceramic. Maifan stone. Mineral infusion. And a few more.
Here’s why they are in the filter.
Water is lazy. In a packed bed of media, it finds the easiest path and takes it – and then it carves that path deeper. The same way rain on a hillside doesn’t spread evenly. If finds a groove and cuts it.
That's called channeling, and it's the most common way a media filter dies. Once water tunnels through, most of it goes around the filter, and it is ruined long before it is actually used up.
Packed beds need to stay packed. That's why real water treatment systems use the same support layers and mixed particle sizes — it's standard practice, and it's there to keep flow distributed instead of tunneled.
So those nine stages of inert ceramic and mineral are doing three things:
-Keeping the bed packed, so the active media can't shift and open a channel
-Distributing flow across the whole cartridge instead of letting it tunnel down one side
-Adding path length, which is contact time, which is what filtration actually runs on
That's why the cartridge holds up for three months.
What You'll Actually Notice, and When

I'd rather under-promise this than have you watching the mirror for something that isn't going to happen.
Phase 1) The first shower. About four minutes in.
The smell goes.
That faint pool-chemical note in the steam that you've never consciously registered, because it's been there every day of your life. It's just absent.
This is the one nearly everyone catches without being told to look for it. Immediate and obvious.
Phase 2) Day two or three.
That tight, pulling feeling after you step out is reduced.
Not gone. Reduced. You'll notice it as a lack of urgency — you're not racing the clock to get moisturizer on before your face starts pulling.
This is a sensation, not something you'll see in the mirror. It's also the first real sign that your barrier isn't getting stripped to zero every morning.
Phase 3) Week two and beyond. The thing you stop doing.
This is the one people write to me about, and it's strange, because it isn't a moment.
You notice, three or four days after the fact, that you haven't been reaching for the night cream. Not because you decided to stop. Because you stopped needing it and didn't register the change until later.
That's your routine starting to compound instead of reset.
What It Costs Against What Your Already Spending
I'm not going to pretend this replaces your routine. It doesn't. It goes underneath it. But here's the arithmetic on what you're already doing:

The dermatology clinics and skin care companies LOVE these options. You know why? Because you keep coming back. If a product “works” you keep buying more.
More products = more money. Temporary relief = lifetime customer
But this really ticks me off… because none of these “fixes” actually fix the root of the problem.
So here’s the deal.
Most American homes have at least two showers. This would normally cost you more than $300 to install a filter in both showers. Already a FRACTION of what it costs to keep up with your skincare routine.
But that’s not what you’ll pay today. Even though many have and gladly will.
Now you can save a whole $100 on our bundle sale
That's right. Just $229 for TWO filtered shower head
Tools included to make the filter as easy to install as possible
Less than ONE dermatologist appointment. Less than your monthly prescription of retinoids. Less than the total of countless creams and serums that you have tried with no real results.
For a product that ACTUALLY fixes the root issue of all your skin problems
Why am I doing it?
Simply because I enjoy seeing people happier than ever. I know just how brutal the winter months can be for dry and irritated skin.
Because every person who gets relief is living proof that the system in place failed them. Because I want thousands of stories flooding the internet with their results.
And honestly… Because it ticked me off that you haven’t found a solution yet. I feel for you.

Look, I get it.
You’ve tried countless products that haven't worked before. Spent money on “miracle cures” that turned out to be expensive garbage. Trusted dermatologists that have let you down. Tried everything and nothing that had a lasting effect.
I understand why you’d be skeptical. You should be.
So here’s my promise.
Try the Aldren Filtered Shower Head for 90 Days. Three months. The life of one filter. Feel the difference in the water. See the difference in your skin.
And if you don’t wake up one morning and realize… “Holy cow, my skin has never looked better”
I’ll refund every single penny.
No forms. No “store credit.” No questions asked. No hoops to jump through.
Just email support@aldrensupply.com saying “It didn’t work” as well as your order number, and your refund hits within 48 hours.
The Choice That Will Define Your Next Decade

Look, I’ve been doing this long enough to know how this usually goes.
Some people will read this entire page and still not order. They’ll tell themselves they’ll “think about it.” bookmark the page and forget. Or get distracted by an email or a phone call and close the tab.
And in three months your skin will be in worse shape than it is today
Right now, you’re at a crossroads. And the path you choose in the next 60 seconds will define your next decade.
Path #1: Keep doing what you’re doing

Path #2: Try something that fixes the root problem
Spend less than you would on a new pair of shoes or compare it to a tank of gas. Get a filtration system that has helped countless people reclaim their social life. Target the ROOT CAUSE instead of trying to fix issues down the road. Walk into the room with confidence you deserve.
The choice seems pretty obvious to me.
Keep wasting time and money on solutions that don’t work. Or you can try something different. Right now. While the discount is still active.
Remember… you’ve got nothing to lose.
Either it works and you’ll experience real relief. Or you’ll get 100% of your money back.
Either way, it’s better than giving up and doing nothing.
